Laura is back home in the Bay Area after getting a BFA in Theatre with an Acting Emphasis at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. When Laura isn’t writing for WYV she is singing her heart out in the car (receiving concerned glances from neighboring cars), playing her baritone ukulele, reading, trying not to bite her nails, hiking, watching all the seasons of “Malcom in the Middle” again, baking, or eating (she came here for the food). For years, Laura has dealt with a severe makeup and skincare addiction and now she finally has a healthy outlet for these obsessions as a WYV beauty columnist. If Laura wasn’t a huge baby and could handle the pain of a tattoo, she would have a little grove of Aspen trees on the back of her neck. If Laura were a street in Oakland, she would be the Rockridge district of College Avenue. Laura’s favorite spot in Oakland is the Morcom Ampitheatre of Roses.
