Costume For The Day
First week back at work. Public transportation swelling & bursting, late everyday. It’s a week [for me] full of meetings and back to old routines, and trying to start new [positive] routines. Living [as I said last week] with focus.
I chose to paint this outfit for this week’s CFTD because I wanted to feature one of my favorite Christmas gifts: a replica of Mia Farrow’s incense necklace from Rosemary’s Baby. I could go on a month-long diatribe about what an amazing feminist film this is – but I won’t. You’ve either seen it and love it. Or you haven’t. And all of these are reasonable things. My only urge is: if you haven’t seen it, please do. Even if you don’t identify as a lady – you will understand the feeling of not being understood by those around you; the state of feeling
crazy because no one understands what you are telling them.
I’m also reading a book right now called “Veronika Decides To Die” which is very much in the same theme. Everyone does one thing and you do the other. Are you crazy because of this? What does crazy mean? I posit these questions to you without answers. Just think about it <3
