#GrabYourWallets: Women are Boycotting Ivanka Trump Because of Course
Boycotting has always been an effective way to hit folks where it hurts: their revenues. When you are dealing with multi-billion dollar tycoons, their brand is their livelihood. The Trumps received news recently that future hotels will no longer bear the family name, thanks to the embarrassment and shame that Donald Trump has brought the business during his presidential campaign. Now, women and femmes are waging war against the abusive presidential candidate and his conservative family.
Ivanka Trump, the eldest of the Trump children, has remained her father’s biggest supporter throughout the election, despite his awful comments about women. While it’s admirable to see loyalty and love among family members, she has not made any statements about his problematic comments and behaviors. That’s cause for concern, since she claims to be a feminist and supporter of working mothers.
#GrabYourWallets calls for a boycott against any store that carries The Ivanka Trump Collection. Started by San Francisco feminist Shannon Coulter, the CEO of a communications agency, the boycott has been so effective that, as Fortune and Raw Story report, “Fewer than 1 in 4 women would buy clothes from Ivanka Trump.”
After hearing the comments Trump has made about women and constantly seeing him on television, in a position of power, Coulter had a strong physical reaction, which helped inspire the campaign.
“It was a feeling of recoiling. It was emotional, visceral. Then I had a pounding headache for a few days. I was filled with nausea,” Coulter told the Guardian. “[W]hen I heard Donald Trump talking on that tape, I recognized in his words the same feeling that I had that day — of being nothing more than an object. No matter how smart you are or how hard you work, they can do that to us.”
To help put an end to the persecution and objectification, Coulter’s Twitter has a conveniently pinned tweet that provides a list of all retailers that carry The Ivanka Trump Collection. Their phone numbers are also listed, for those of you who would really like to let them have it.
Updated list. Now includes Marshalls. If you'd rather not see the name "Trump" anymore while you're shopping, call these stores. Tell them. pic.twitter.com/4xXkGcqU4X

If you wouldn’t buy something from a known rapist or a hooded klansman, why purchase from folks who support them? While Donald Trump and has family have the money to separate themselves from the assumed class of such caricatures, they are no better than the idea of the hooded hillbilly klansman or the rapist hiding in the bushes. Those who support them are supporting violence against women and minorities.
It’s time to #GrabYourWallets and, in doing so, help to empty theirs.
