Gamer Girls Debunked!
Ok boys, I love the competitive edge and trash-talking (That is half the fun of playing the game) but when you do it based on my gender and not my skill level, that’s when I start to become irritated. While it is easy to give into the stereotypes and tell us to go back to the kitchen,it’s much easier just to accept that girls play games too and if one beats you, your masculinity is not gone. Confusing, right? Allow me to show you the truth about gamer girls. Prepare to have your mind blown.
Just because we are interested in videogames, does not mean we are interested in you
But-but-but-you’re a gamer, I’m a gamer, we are simply meant to be! No, that is not the case at all.We just want to play some games, if we were looking for a life partner we would not be doing it over an online game server.
Not all of us fit into the stereotypes.
Never have I, nor any of my friends, have played Super Mario butt naked in our bedroom. It’s just a fact. Sorry.
It is true, 48% of gamers are in fact women, whether you can handle the statistics or not is your problem, not ours.
No we will not go make you a sandwich.
As much as we would love to stop our game, go to our kitchen and make a sandwich for a sexist, arrogant 12 year old boy halfway across the country, we just can’t find the motivation. Sorry your pre-pubescent commands mean nothing to us.
We do not need you to spoonfeed the game to us.
Just because I’m feminine doesn’t mean I don’t know how to play the game. Judge us by our skill level, not our gender.
We do not play “Chick” games
“Shouldn’t you be playing barbie or cooking mama?” I’m not five.
“Are you playing on your brothers/boyfriends account?”
Believe it or not, your ability to play on an online server is not based on gender. Sorry.
Call of Duty
Girls do not only play CoD. In fact, most of us don’t even like CoD because of sexist gamers. Sorry.
