This photo was taken during a weekend filled with my Child Therapy course (currently in grad school to become a Somatic Psychotherapist), and as some one who has worked with children for over 10 years, I am easily able to access whimsy and fantasy, which often influences my attire (although who doesn’t love a good cheetah print?!) and cues me to the simplest of life’s joys surrounding us daily, such as this stellar dino sidewalk art.

I am also part Micmac Native American and grew-up going to pow-wows seeing individuals honoring their ancestral roots through their clothing. Choosing to do the same I have always felt at home in moccasins and love the tiny arrows accents on the tops of mine, guiding my toes through this urban jungle (although I am torn by how culturally appropriated they have become, I try to be conscious of brands that support tribes making them authentically)!
