Wear Your Voice was super proud to be a media sponsor for Lunafest, on November 6th at the Humanist Hall, Oakland.
The evening was sponsored by Camp Reel Stories. ”Camp Reel Stories believes that when women are better represented behind the scenes in the media, they will be better reflected on the screen.”
Lunafest is a traveling film festival of short films by, for and about women, if you missed it, don’t worry, we will give you a little insider visual right here, check out WYV-TV where we speak with Founder of Camp Reel, Esther Pearl and Co-director and Co-producer of the documentary ‘Lady Parts’, Emily Fraiser
Not to mention a silent auction of gifts donated by local women owned businesses and more! All this while supporting 2 great causes, Camp Reel Stories and The Breast Cancer Fund.
We want to take this opportunity to congratulate Producers and Directors of ‘Lady Parts’, Emily Fraser and acknowledge Katherine Gorringe, who could not be present for this evening. It was a great documentary and really made me as a woman, who knows nothing about cars, feel that there are options available and people who care. What a great business!
Don’t forget to tell us what you think and always #wearyourvoice
Also, while watching the trailer of Lady Parts, take a moment to send love to Mae De La Calzada and family, unfortunately Mae has passed away since this documentary was created. She leaves behind her a legacy, may we all as women strive to impart greatness on everyone before it is our time to leave. Mae certainly achieved this.
