Surprise surprise! Like I need another money spending temptation in my Grand Lake neighborhood. Why have the Gods continued to test me?!

Previously a specialized store for fashionably tall women, Alyce on Grand Ave. has thrown open its doors and let in the sunlight to a younger shorter generation (that’s me!). Their offerings are modern, but classy and sexy. That’s a combination I LOVE. Find a range of eye catching patterns, touch-me textures and million bucks detailing. A little pricey, but you will not catch anyone else wearing your fabulous piece. And with the quality found here, you will have that item for a long time to come.

Here are my top 6 loves!

1. This “throw over” is simple, but so stylish.

Wear it with anything! Comes in seven colors $22.

2. Sunglasses

The ProWings sunglasses by Spitfire, England say to the sun AND to the world, “Shine on me! I am ready for you!”$45.

3. Two stretchy pencil skirts

These suck in all the right places and I love the back slit and exposed zipper $50, $55.

4. This soft, beautiful, pleated, white slice of pie.

Wonderful weight and draping $50.

This open, airy space and music draws you in completely. I had the pleasure of Erricka picking out some things for me (that I wouldn’t have picked for myself, but looked awesome!) and being my photographer lol. AND I met the wonderful and statuesque owner Alyce Preston. She wanted to assure her loyal customers that even with all the changes that are happening, the tall and fashionable can still come to her for beautiful wear and superb tailoring. They are still in transition, but are open for business. They will officially reopen with their new name Alyce (Previously named Newfangles Tall Fashions) in the next two weeks! Stay tuned.
