Inspiration can come from many directions: a piece of art, your environment, an animal, a TV show (#Ilanaismyspiritanimal).  Sometimes all we need to be inspired is to hang out with someone who inspires us.

I am lucky enough to have some friends that consistently inspire me.  I hung out with one in particular this past Sunday.  She is one of my favorite clothing inspirations and we have a similar style: sweetly vintage, a little messy, and a little weird.  We hung out with her two pups, drank lattes, sat in Mosswood park, and tried to deflect all the mad compliments her dogs were getting (seriously the envy of the entire town).  And (if I do say so myself) we looked awesome <3

Here is what we wore:

Me:

– Black dancer’s bodysuit that I cut and added my own snaps to.  Which was a great idea – I thought.  But the left snap keeps coming undone.  😐

– Thrifted Calvin Klein denim vest with two pins on it:

       • “Awkward Girls Club”

       • “How Do You Like Meow?”

– Thrifted English leather penny-loafers

– Brown tonal triangle-print midi-skirt

– Gold bar earring

– Gold hexagon earrings

– Empty gold box necklace

Her:

– Brilliant occult black & gold tank top

– Velvet, rose-print maxi skirt

– Orange ombré sunglasses

– Tan criss-cross sandals

– Gold mismatched studs (she & I were wearing almost identical earrings)

– Watermelon tourmaline necklace

birds of a feather

Love you, mean it
