It's like the perfect level of clutter.

It’s, like, perfect clutter. How does that happen?!

When first walking into Atomic Garden, your nose is met with a variety of delicious scents all mixed into one soothing smell – Patchouli Cedar Soaps, Lavender and Geranium candles, Rose powdered shampoos, you name it. The rustic shelves on the wall are filled with beautiful handcrafted goods for your body and home. But, obviously, I’m bringing Atomic Garden to your attention for its awesome bath slash body slash skincare slash beauty products.

Many, if not all, of the beauty products in the shop are all natural. Many of them are American made, some are even Oakland made, as well! Atomic Garden makes and produces its own line of products ranging from soaps, totes, perfumes, mugs, candles and leather key rings.Atomic Garden brand body products!

Lavender and Geranium is one of the most soothing essential oil combinations! There is a nice selection of Poppy and Someday, a company inspired by the healing power of plants, products including their Marfa Moon Mist. This mist has a soothing mix of Frankincense and Petitgrain to calm your mind and body. It is also infused with a Tourmaline Crystal to shield you from life’s hard knocks. There was also a lovely Poppy and Someday Lip Stain that I will return for!

While aromatherapeutic mists are on my mind, the Ritual Misters by Portland Apothecary really caught my eye. Each mist has special aromatherapy essential oils to help change your mood, transform your outlook and set your intentions. They come in four main scents: Desert, Forest, Sea and Mountain. To go along with the mist, each scent also comes in the form of a bar of soap and a mineral bath soak to round out your scent experience.

Next. The coveted Goē Oil, that has graced the pages of Vogue and Lucky (and now Wear Your Voice!), has also found a home on the shelves of Atomic Garden. It is a 100% all natural blend of 28 plant, fruit and flower oils that can be used in a variety of different ways including as an eye makeup remover, hair styler, cuticle softener and, more simply, as a lotion. Because it is a solid oil, a little goes a long way and it soaks up rather quickly. So you can use it as a hand or body lotion without worrying about being oily for the rest of the day!

Now, while oils are on my mind, the nourishing body oil and serum made by Marble & Milkweed, a company committed to mindful/recyclable product packaging and producing wonderful products using only organic and fair-trade ingredients, are also available at Atomic Garden. The Marble & Milkweed products are so loved by Atomic Garden customers, the products go quickly! So make sure you’re on top of their shipments!

Finally, I know I’m predictable but, you know how much I love finding new beach sprays! It took all the strength I had not to buy Brooklyn Beach‘s Brooklyn Beach Hair (what? I’m not out of my Not Your Mother’s Beach Spray yet). But, I will be back for it. After chatting with an adorable Atomic Garden staff member, who really knew her shit on EVERY SINGLE PRODUCT, I found out that not only is this spray great for getting the beachy bedhead look, it also smells amazing. And not just when you spray it. Apparently, if you spray this in your hair in the morning and your hair gets wet again that day, the wonderful floral and slightly woodsy scent releases itself again. Sign me up. It will be mine. Oh yes. It will be mine. I guess, to kind of quote Wayne’s World.

Alriiiight. So, apparently I gushed a little. I was trying to hold back too! Anyway, make sure that when you do go visit Atomic Garden, it’s after payday because you’re not going to walk out of their empty handed. Trust me.
