Margaret Cho has been all up in the headlines lately, first for her #BeRobin busking/performing project in San Francisco this winter, then for her new TLC show All About Sex. Now she’s coming under fire for her mocking portrayal of a North Korean general on Sunday’s Golden Globes. She’s been accused of minstrelsy and racism, and she told Buzzfeed News: “I’m of North and South Korean descent, and I do impressions of my family and my work all the time, and this is just another example of that. I am from this culture. I am from this tribe. And so I’m able to comment on it.” Time Magazine disagrees.

Guys, you can stop crying: turns out rumors of Ricky Martin’s death were greatly exaggerated. Apparently, a hoax was going around that the out gay singer had died. Am I the first conspiracy theorist to think he started the hoax himself as a publicity stunt for his new album coming out next month? Not interested in your album, Ricky, but congrats on still being alive.

Your aww-that-tugs-at-my-gay-heartstrings story of the week: The governor of the Mexican state of Coahuila, Rubén Moreira, tweeted his support and congratulations for a gay couple who got hitched in his state. Aw, this couple is cute. Who doesn’t love pictures of adorably giddy gay newlyweds and supportive politicians? Oh, right, conservatives.
